What they found was a quiet path of trees and benches opening onto a wheat field — on the way from the registry office to the reception. Nobody scouted that place for them. They found it themselves, and it became the heart of the day.

From there: Landhaus Schupke, speeches, coffee and cake, an afternoon that stretched into dinner and a wedding dance that ran well past dark.
